Happy Little Teams was an exploration of pairs & of the uniqueness of every single relationship. I was interested in the assumptions we make about couples -- as in any two people we see in public -- and was trying to unlearn a lot of the gender norms & heteronormative ideas I was taught.​

The piece featured three unique couples who developed movements and gestures together throughout the research process. Each relationship had it's own qualities and dynamics.

The piece was accompanied by a light-hearted latin style piece composed by Cale Plut and was performed live by musicians on stage. The piece was created as a part of Ascension, an undergraduate presentation at Simon Fraser University.
